Pickle Lemonade

Pickle lemonade might sound unexpected, but this tangy, salty-sweet refresher is a state fair classic for good reason. Think of it as a probiotic twist on an Arnold Palmer — it’s tart, savory, and completely thirst-quenching. With just a few ingredients and five minutes, you’ll have the perfect picnic-ready drink.

What You'll Need

Ingredients

  • 4 oz pickle juice (from naturally fermented pickles)
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 oz maple syrup
  • Still or sparkling water
  • To Serve
  • Ice
  • Pickle spear
  • Lemon slice

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, maple syrup, and pickle juice.

Step 2

Fill a large glass with ice. Pour in the lemonade mixture until halfway full, then top with still or sparkling water.

Step 3

Garnish with a pickle spear and a lemon slice twisted onto a toothpick.
