Holiday Leftover Monte Cristo with Brie and Cranberry
Recipe from Sunny Cho
Leftovers don’t usually get the spotlight, but this sandwich is a holiday encore. Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce team up with melty Brie, then the whole thing gets dipped in French toast batter and fried until golden. It’s sweet, savory, and over-the-top cozy.

What You'll Need
Ingredients
4 slices brioche or challah
4 to 6 ounces roasted turkey or chicken, thinly sliced
½ cup leftover stuffing, pressed flat
4 ounces Brie cheese, sliced (rind on)
4 tablespoons cranberry sauce, plus more for serving
2 large eggs
¼ cup milk
Pinch of kosher salt
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting (optional)
Warm gravy, for serving
Directions
Step 1
Assemble the sandwiches. Spread cranberry sauce over one side of each bread slice. On two slices, layer the Brie, a thin layer of stuffing, and the turkey. Top with the remaining slices, cranberry side down, to form sandwiches.
Step 2
Make the batter. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until smooth.
Step 3
Dip and fry. Heat the butter in the Titanium Pro Always Pan over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides and allowing excess to drip off. Fry until golden brown and the cheese is melted, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Step 4
Serve. Transfer to a cutting board, slice in half, and dust lightly with confectioners’ sugar, if desired. Serve warm with gravy or extra cranberry sauce for dipping.
💡Chef’s Tip:
Brioche or challah works best here for its rich, sturdy crumb, but any soft sandwich bread will do. The sandwiches can be assembled up to 1 hour ahead and kept refrigerated before dipping and frying.
